The European Network of Local and Regional Authorities for the Implementation of the European Landscape Convention (ENELC) has the primary aim of supporting local and regional authorities in the implementation of the European Landscape Convention (ELC).
ENELC was launched in May 2006 in Florence with 22 founding members, and continues to expand.
ENELC works to ensure all aspects of landscape are taken into consideration by local and regional authorities in relevant areas of their policy and practice. The exchange of knowledge and experience between members will contribute to the efficient implementation of ELC measures and the recognition of common problems.
ENELC also works closely alongside similar networks designed for universities (Uniscape) and non-governmental organisations (Civilscape) in order to promote the exchange of relevant experience.
